Candlestick

San Francisco, California, USA

The Candlestick district is the original San Francisco 49ers professional football team property. The idea is to combined the masterplan district with the adjoining Shipyard. With a total area of nearly 800 acres all within the city limits of San Francisco, we established a connected, diverse, compact and walkable community with extensive access to open space, art and cultural districts, work and waterfront.

Candlestick will follow the neighborhood traditions of San Francisco with strong links to the city by metro-rail, a ferry terminal and other forms of mass transit. Central to the development is the use of sustainable concepts of a transit oriented, green powered environment, utilizing concepts of “whole living” to optimize a fully integrated live, work, play, learn, and shop environment.
Combined with the adjoining property, The Shipyard, the districts will have approximately 15,500 residents.
